The Limbasi Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. is located at Limbasi in MatarTaluka. The area of Kheda District is known as “Charotar Pradesh”. Kheda district is in the central part of Gujarat holding the first rank in the co-operative activities in Gujarat.

The merchants of Limbasi had established The Limbasi Urban Co.Op.Bank Ltd. in 1972. They were facing troubles in taking loans from the Sharafi Pedhi and individual Shroffs as they were charging very high interest rates. Consequently leads to the establishment of their own Bank that can lend at affordable interest rates and deposit their savings.

As a result, the Bank was founded on 01-03-1972 Bank started at Bazar , Limbasi on 01-03-1972 under the leadership of, Shree Ambalal Jethabhai Patel, the first Chairman of the Bank and Shree Chandrakant Pursottamdas Patel , the Managing Director of our Bank. The area of operation of our Bank is Limbasi Gram Panchayat. The Reserve Bank of India has given licensed on 22-08-1986 . In 1984, the Bank was shifted to its own building .

The Bank had started its first financial year business with the Share capital of Rs. 0.42 lakh, Deposits of Rs.2.88  lakh, Loans & Advances of Rs. 3.33  lakh . After crossing 46 years, the small plant has been converted into giant banyan tree. The performance has been raised year by year due to hard work of Board Members, our valuable 4278 Shareholders and our loyal 9592 customer.
